Guthrum Purdin named Director of Veterinary Services at Lindsay Wildlife Museum

 Veterinary leader to oversee care of 5,000 animals at SF Bay Area’s premier wildlife rehabilitation and nature education center

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF.—March 24, 2014—Lindsay Wildlife Museum (LWM),http://wildlife-museum.org/, is pleased to announce that Dr. Guthrum Purdin has been appointed director of veterinary services, a transition from his previous role as associate veterinarian. In the new position, Dr. Purdin will further develop the veterinary medical program at Lindsay Museum and continue to provide best possible care to the more than 5,000 animal patients the wildlife rehabilitation hospital treats each year.

Dr. Purdin has worked for Lindsay Wildlife Museum since March 2013. He completed his veterinary education at University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine and, prior to joining Lindsay, worked with several wildlife rehabilitation organizations. Most recently Dr. Purdin was with the Wildlife Care Association in Sacramento as shelter veterinarian and member of the board of directors. He continues to be a speaker at national wildlife conferences.

September 21–June 15: Wednesday–Friday 12 PM–5 PM, Saturday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM
June 18, 2014–Labor Day: Wednesday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM

Admission is free for members and children under 2 years old, $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors 65+ and $6.50 for children 2 -17.
