Free Parking

In Walnut Creek's Larkey Park there are no parking fees nor meters. Please park only in the museum parking lots on the east side of the museum, the Friends Church lot across the street (except Sunday mornings) or on Buena Vista Avenue. Please do not park on First Avenue in front of our neighbors' homes — you will get a parking ticket. The museum is located in a residential area.

Directions by Public Transit

Take BART to the Walnut Creek or the Pleasant Hill stations. County Connection offers very limited service between the BART stations and Lindsay Wildlife Museum. Call County Connection at 925-676-7500 or visit their website at www.cccta.org for schedule information. The museum is about a one mile walk from the Pleasant Hill BART station and about one and one-half miles from the Walnut Creek BART station. Cab service is available to Lindsay Wildlife Museum from both BART stations.

Directions by Bike

Take BART to Pleasant Hill Station. Cycle across the parking lot to reach the Iron Horse Trail, and head south. Turn right on the Contra Costa Canal Trail, then hang a sharp U-Turn just before Treat Boulevard onto the Briones to Mt. Diablo Regional Trail. The total distance is about a mile and a half. Great maps are available from the East Bay Bicycle Coalition.
